Getting started with HappyMetrix is really easy. Download and install the app on MacOS or Windows. The first time you launch the app you will be prompted to use any standard templates or not. Get connected to your online sources with your own login and password and you are all set to go.

Below we briefly explain how the widgets work to connect to online services like GoogleAnalytics or how you can connect to your own data sources.

How to connect to online sources with standard widgets

Launch the HappyMetrix application and click on any tile. A “Add Widget” window will open. Select “Connect with an online service”. Connect to the online service you want to use and select an appropriate widget. At the bottom of this window you can select a new Online Service to connect to.

See below on how to connect to your own data on your own servers. You may also choose to add a logo, text or your static data by clicking the appropriate button in the “Add Widget” window.

How to connect to your own data sources using custom widgets

Launch the HappyMetrix application and click on any tile. A “Add Widget” window will open. Select “Connect with with my own data”. Select an appropriate data source. Make sure your data is configured as detailed below depending on the format you want to use. If for example you want to use a Column chart make sure the data is in JSON or XML on your server in the format detailed below.

With the custom column chart widget you can connect any data you might have available in your owners server, ERP of CMS framework. We’ve made it really easy for you to connect to your data and visualise it into our widget.

In order to connect your data with one of our widgets you simply need to make your data available in a standardised JSON or XML format.
